Church visitor text messages: opt-in and terms

RhemaConnect is a church app. Its text messaging program is operated by Axiira Media LLC. Churches that use RhemaConnect can send text messages to visitors who ask to receive them: a follow-up after their visit and updates from that church (service times and events). This page explains who sends these messages, how people opt in, what they receive, and how to stop.

Who sends the messages

Messages are sent by the local church the visitor attended, through the RhemaConnect platform. Each message names the church it comes from. Messages are only about that church: no third-party marketing is ever sent.

How visitors opt in

When someone visits a church, they can fill in that church's first-timer visitor form (through a QR code or link the church shares, at rhemaconnectapp.com/<church>/first-timer). Directly under the phone number field, the form has an SMS consent checkbox that is unchecked by default. Only visitors who enter a mobile number and tick the box receive texts. Opting in is optional and is not required to attend, submit the form, or receive any service.

What messages you receive

Messages from the church you visited: a welcome and follow-up after your visit, and updates about service times and events. No marketing for anyone else. For example:

Grace Community Church: Thank you for visiting us on Sunday, Ana! We're so glad you came. Reply STOP to opt out.

Grace Community Church: Hi Ana, Pastor James here. Is there anything we can pray with you about this week? Reply STOP to opt out.

Grace Community Church: Join us this Sunday at 10 AM, we'd love to see you again. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

Frequency and cost

  • Message frequency varies by church.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to stop or get help

  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply START to opt back in.
  • Reply HELP for help, or email hello@getchurchspace.com.

Your privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
