5. Payment Terms

Subscription Plans. RhemaConnect offers both free and paid subscription plans. The Free plan supports up to 50 members and requires no credit card. Paid plans (Starter, Growth, Pro) are billed monthly or annually in advance.

Refund Policy. Monthly subscriptions: no refunds. Annual subscriptions: prorated refund available within 30 days of payment. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable. Founding Church plans are non-refundable.

Pricing Changes. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time with 30 days' advance notice via email to the account's registered email address. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. Founding Church plan rates are locked and exempt from price increases.

Payment Processing. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. RhemaConnect does not store your full payment card details. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.

Failed Payments. If a payment fails, we will notify you and retry the charge. If payment remains outstanding for 14 days, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan. Your data will not be deleted due to non-payment.

6. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our full Privacy Policy explains in detail how we collect, use, and protect your information. Key principles:

  • Church data (sermons, announcements, events, giving methods) belongs to the church
  • Member personal data (name, email, prayer requests) belongs to the member
  • We never sell data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes
  • We collect only the data necessary to provide the Service
  • You can export or delete your data at any time

By using RhemaConnect, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

6a. Text Messages (SMS)

Churches can send text messages through RhemaConnect only to people who opted in, for example by ticking the optional SMS checkbox on a church's visitor form. Messages are a follow-up after a visit and updates from that church about service times and events.

  • Message frequency varies by church. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out; reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@rhemaconnectapp.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Opting in is never a condition of attending a church, submitting a form or using the Service.
  • No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Churches using RhemaConnect agree to text only people who opted in, only about their own church, and to honour opt-outs. Full program details: rhemaconnectapp.com/sms.

7. Intellectual Property

RhemaConnect IP. RhemaConnect, including its logo, design, software, AI models, and underlying technology, is owned by RhemaConnect (Raffa Consults LLC) and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of our platform.

Your Content. You retain full ownership of all content you create and upload to RhemaConnect, including sermons, announcements, group posts, and member data. You grant RhemaConnect a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and transmit your content solely as necessary to provide the Service.

Feedback. If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about RhemaConnect, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use such feedback without compensation or obligation to you.

8. AI Features

RhemaConnect uses artificial intelligence to provide features including sermon devotional generation, daily scripture suggestions, biblical Q&A assistance, and prayer drafting. By using these features, you acknowledge:

  • AI-generated content is automatically produced and may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • You should review all AI-generated devotionals and content before sharing with your congregation
  • RhemaConnect is not responsible for the theological accuracy, doctrinal alignment, or pastoral appropriateness of AI outputs
  • AI features process your sermon content through our AI provider (Anthropic) — see Privacy Policy for details
  • AI features require sufficient source material (sermon transcripts, YouTube content) to function effectively
  • AI credits are allocated per plan — see billing settings for your current usage

AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and pastoral aid. Final responsibility for all content shared with congregation members rests with the church and its leadership.

9. Termination

Cancellation by You. You may cancel your RhemaConnect subscription at any time from the Billing section of your admin dashboard. Your account will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Termination by Us. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or if your account poses a risk to other users or the platform. We will provide notice where feasible.

Data Retention After Termination. Upon cancellation or termination, you have 30 days to export your data using the export tools in your dashboard. After 30 days, all church and member data associated with your account will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from account closure.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CHURCHSPACE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Service interruptions or platform unavailability
  • Any conduct or content of third parties on the platform
  • Any theological, pastoral, or doctrinal harm arising from use of AI features

IN NO EVENT SHALL CHURCHSPACE'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CHURCHSPACE IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Antonio, Texas. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email to your registered email address and/or a prominent notice within the RhemaConnect platform.

Your continued use of RhemaConnect after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, please stop using the Service and cancel your account.

We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
